Enter a filing (priority) date and right type to instantly see the standard expiry date and how much term is left — works entirely in your browser, no lookup required.
This is the standard term only: 20 years from the filing/priority date for a patent, 10 years for a utility model — the same baseline rule used across the EPO and most national offices. It assumes the right is filed, granted, and fully maintained for its whole term.
It does not account for: unpaid maintenance/renewal fees causing early lapse, Supplementary Protection Certificates (SPCs) extending pharmaceutical-adjacent patents up to 5 years beyond this date, or the right never having been granted at all. For a real, verified current status — not just a standard-term calculation — use Patent Check.
